During last night (Monday) in a joint mission of the IDF and Shin Bet, a senior of the Hamas terrorist organization Hasan Yousef from the town of Bethonia, southwest of Ramallah, was arrested.
Hassan Yousef was born in 1955, a resident of Ramallah and senior of the Hamas terrorist organization in the West Bank. According to the IDF Spokesperson Yousef was involved "in intensive work of incitement to terrorism, he was arrested and imprisoned several times in the past and is a factor in inciting to violence and strife in Israel among the Palestinian public".
The arrest of the wanted was executed by "Hara'am" Battalion forces of the Gunners Corps and forces from the Benjamin Division in collaboration with the General Security Service. Hassan Yousef was taken for questioning by security forces.
Meanwhile, the IDF Spokesperson stated that this morning (Tuesday), in accordance with the directives of Defense Minister Ya'alon, IDF engineering forces demolished the home of the terrorist Maher Hamdi Zuhair Rushdi Alhslmon in Hebron.
The terrorist's home was destroyed following the attack perpetrated on the Seventeenth of Cheshvan last year, November 10th 2014, in which he ran over and stabbed to death the late Dalia Lamkus z"l and injured two other civilians. In the attack, terrorist Maher Alhslamon reached the intersection of Alon Shvut, hit Dalia Lamkus z"l, and then got out and stabbed her several times with a knife.
Two bystanders who tried to help were also injured in the attack. The terrorist was neutralized by the civil guard on the spot, an IDF force arrested him and provided primary health care to victims.
Davidi Perl, head of the Gush Etzion Council said following the demolition of the terrorist's home: "We returned to our land to plant trees and build houses. The abominable murders force us to ruin as well. Destruction is never happy especially as that will not bring back the life of Dalia which was cut off in its bud.
"In these days of an organized campaign of suicide terrorism, we must renew the deterrence, immediate damage to the home, the relatives and the surroundings of the terrorist would prevent the continued cycle of bloodshed and save much suffering of all the country's inhabitants.
And as our sages said, one who is merciful to the cruel, in the end will behave cruelly to the merciful".
