Wolbroz Rebbe seriously injured in accident

A well known Jerusalem Rebbe was injured tonight (Saturday), on Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem. He was taken to hospital.

Shortly after 19:00 pm, a car accident occurred on Shmuel Hanavi Street in Jerusalem next to the Beis Midrash of Chassidus Dushinsky, in which the Wolbroz Rebbe was seriously injured.

Ichud Hatzalah drives and Magen David Adom crews gave him first aid treatment and an intensive care ambulance evacuated him to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital trauma ward, while sedated and on a respirator with a head injury.

"This is a pedestrian who was injured severely in the head by a commercial vehicle," said Boaz Zakai, Ichud Hatzalah volunteer. "Together with other volunteers of the motorcycle unit of Ichud Hatzalah we performed advanced resuscitation until the arrival of the mobile intensive care unit which evacuated him to hospital in critical condition and unconscious. Circumstances of the accident are under investigation."

Dudi Gloiberman volunteer of 'Yedidim' who witnessed the accident said: "I helped the car with a flat tire, at the corner of my eye I saw a car hitting a pedestrian and throwing him. Immediately after I reported to emergency forces, I performed resuscitation until the arrival of Ichud Hatzalah and MDA". He said the injured man's son was present, and probably also watched his father being hurt and injured.
