While he was stabbed by a terrorist, Daniel Cohen, 31, a resident of Bnei Brak, married with five daughters – did not realize that it would save his life.

Today (Wednesday) he told the NRG site about the great rescue miracle which occurred following the attack: When handling the stabbing, they found in his body a dangerous tumor above the colon.

In fact, he said, he had felt pain in recent days in the area of the intestines, but did not find the leisure to be treated or to be examined. Following the attack, he came to the hospital and his life was saved not only by a terrorist.

As recalled, last Monday the attack took place in Rishon Letzion near the old central bus station. As reported in Behadrey Haredim - Cohen, a kashrut supervisor who was in town for work purposes, was surprised by the terrorist who stabbed him in the back. The attack in Rishon Lezion spread across several arenas, starting in the afternoon at about 15:15. A 19-year-old terrorist from Hebron managed to stab three people - two seriously and one moderately.

Daniel was stabbed on the corner of Herzl Street and Tarmav in a bus, the other wounded was stabbed by the terrorist during a deadly chase through the streets; he with a knife in his hand, searching for a Jewish victim, and bystanders and young people chasing him in an attempt to neutralize him. Their zeal to capture the terrorist was so great, according to documentation from the first minute, that the wounded woman forgotten as she lay on the sidewalk. Further on, the terrorist stabbed another woman in a store.

Cohen was stabbed in his upper body and his condition was defined as moderate to severe but stable. His wife told Behadrey Haredim about his difficult condition and asked the public to pray for his recovery.

When put into operation for 4 hours, during which organs such as the spleen and a piece of the liver were removed from his body, they discovered the intestines were injured, and when about to take care of them, they identified the tumor, "which I did not know at all that I have" - he says.

"They cut away the tumor and sewed whatever it takes, and thank G-d I came to a state that within a week I'm in good shape. If I wouldn't have cut it, it could get worse."

Cohen is currently staying with his parents, is recovering from the two difficult events he underwent and full of hope for his speedy recovery.
