Concern in the Torah world: Last Motzaei Shabbos, Hagaon R' Aharon Leib Steinman was feeling unwell and was taken to the hospital for tests at Maayanei Hayeshua, then released a few hours later to his home.

On Saturday night, he felt weak and was taken tests at the hospital, accompanied by his grandson and faithful helper Rabbi David Shapiro and his student and medical activist Rabbi Eliezer Kaplan. After several hours of tests, doctors asked R' Aharon Leib to rest a little in the coming days.

Due to his advanced age (101), doctors expressed concern that his intense agenda which includes reception and delivery of regular classes may affect the health of Aharon Leib G-d forbid, therefore, in the coming days reception will be reduced to allow the Rav to rest and recover.

However, it should be noted that on Sunday morning, a few hours after his release from the hospital, R' Aharon Leib instructed Hgr"n Zochovsky exactly what message and instructions to transfer to Degel HaTorah officials at the meeting held that evening in Bnei Brak.

In his conversation with Hgr"n Zochovsky, and after he had told him about the attacks of extremist circles against members of the Knesset, R' Aharon Leib mentioned the famous letter of R' Yitzchok Elchanan Spector on those who disdain Gedolei Yisroel and faithful functionaries, noting "It is easy to shout from outside. But you have to know that what they did – was properly done and according to what they were told to do." In conclusion R' Aharon Leib sent greetings to the participants.

One of his closest talmidim noted in a conversation with Behadrey Haredim: "At this age it is only natural that there is a weakness now and then, and Maran shlita undergoes periodic inspections to verify the state of health. Yet whoever does not have an urgent question for the coming days, should better to wait until next week so that Maran could rest and relieve himself of the burden a little. "

Hagaon R' Aharon Leib's name for prayer: Aharon Yehudah Leib ben Gittel Feiga.
