On the way to Israel: "I will visit Israel in the coming weeks," informed the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
His announcement provoked an uproar in the Knesset and MK Ahmed Tibi demands not to allow him to enter the Knesset. "I asked the chairman of the Knesset to prevent the entry of neo-Nazi Trump to the Knesset, until we figure out just what the danger of all the Trumps is," he said.
Donald Trump caused a storm when at an election rally held in South Carolina he declared: "One should absolutely stop the entry of Muslims to the United States, both migrants and tourists".
The controversial statement drew condemnation from the American political spectrum.
Even the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) condemned this and said, "Trump's plan to prevent people from entering the US on religious grounds is unacceptable and contrary to American values.
"The United States was founded as a refugee place in light of religious persecution. Religious pluralism is the basis of our national identity. The plan to prevent Muslims from entering the United States against the backdrop of their religion is rejected in the extreme and contrary to our deepest values. We in the Jewish community know all too well the situation when a religious group is isolated because of particular religious stereotypes and becomes a scapegoat".
But Trump does not stop even posted on his Twitter account that before the end of the year he will visit Israel and Jordan. "I'm really looking forward to that," he wrote.
