Baruch Dayan Ha'emet: in Petah Tikva, Mrs. Rachel Maya a"h, mother of Rabbi Moshe Maya member of the Council of Torah Sages, Rabbi of Yad Eliyahu in Tel Aviv, passed away at the age of 97.
The deceased AH, a resident of the mother of colonies Petah Tikva, was known a simple woman and ba'alat chessed and raised and educated her children and descendants to Torah and pure fear of Heaven.
Together with her husband Rabbi Yitzchak, the couple worked in agriculture, especially in the orchards of the Sharon, and worked hard to support and sustain the household.
In addition, during the British Mandate they were active in the Irgun (Etzel) and the meetings of the underground movement were held in their home. In one of the operations, the father was nearly caught by the British, and miraculously escaped after hiding in the house.
The funeral took place on Friday at 12:00 at Petach Tikva Segula cemetery - where she was interred.
May her soul be bound in the bond of life.
