The three suspects who were arrested this morning (Sunday), at the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem, are suspected of burglary of vehicles, and not planning a terrorist attack. This information was received this evening by Behadrey Haredim.
This morning, three young Arab men aged 19-20 were stopped in Kiryat Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem after they aroused the suspicions of police officers.
One of the three, after seeing the approaching policemen, threw something by the roadside.
During a search of the area, the officers located scissor blades which were separated and on the lower part adhesive tape was pasted.
The suspects, residents of East Jerusalem, were detained for questioning. In the morning it was not clear whether they are terrorists who tried to stab Jews or with a criminal background.
Jerusalem police said tonight to Behadrey Haredim that the three are suspects in burglaries and vehicle thefts in the area.
The witnesses were certain that they were terrorists: "I was there. It was amazing, the terrorists ran by the synagogue of Rabbi Eliyahu. While running, in seconds only, a motorcycle with two policemen from an elite unit emerged, threw them on the floor, looking for the knife and immediately found it. The police laid them on the ground, then a lot of troops arrived."
