Two Arab females planned a terror attack and were apprehended at the checkpoint
Two Arab residents of Abu Dis, were caught at a checkpoint at the entrance to Jerusalem with knives on their bodies • They were planning a stabbing attack

Thwarted attack: Two Arab females approached the checkpoint at Ma’avar Hazeitim inorder to enter Jerusalem.
Exactly as in the meeting of the Border Police and Military Police knives were found and confiscated. The two were apprehended and in the initial investigation it was learned that they came in order to carry out an attack. The suspects aged 24 and 29, were sent for questioning.

Deputy commander of the Southern Border Regiment around Jerusalem said: "Border Guard officers in cooperation with the military police soldiers work with determination and professionalism to maintain the security of the capital every day. Their vigilance and watchfulness allowed for the apprehension of the suspects without casualties and prevented the entry of suspects from entering into the capital".
