Death Threats: Family of Soldier who Eliminated Neutralized Soldier Threatened
After his arrest in light of the video showing him shooting a neutralized terrorist, Palestinian media has released his name and the name of his family calling for revenge. Family is worried, “instead of receiving appreciation he is being tried in the field.”

Death threats against a soldier after the army decided to arrest and investigate him for killing a neutralized terrorist. His family reports threats on social media since his information has been posted on Palestinian pages on Facebook.
According to the information publicized today on Walla, the phone number of the soldier’s father, as well as the soldier’s picture under the caption ”wanted” are posted on Facebook pages that identify with Hamas.
Due to the threats the police have relocated the family’s press conference which will be taking place indoors and not in a public place.
The family is very concerned about the soldier’s and his relative’s safety due to the field trial the media and the Israeli street is putting the soldier through. “Instead of a sign of appreciation for his care of the welfare of his comrades and medical personnel in the area- he has been turned into an enemy and is standing trial in the street of Israel.“
At the hearing about extending the soldier’s arrest his lawyer asked to extend the gag order on releasing the soldier’s name for this very reason.
“I know that the Palestinian media is calling for revenge. One of the defense attorneys has received threats via email. In such a case I see no reason why the army’s claim should interfere with the extension of the gag order.” Which in fact was accepted.
