Harav Menachem Mendel ben Toiba has awakened and is now breathing on his own. He has begun speaking with his mother who is at his bedside, and there is noticeable improvement in his situation

Motty Fried, president of Saad Umarpeh, who was flown to Belgium on behalf of the Belzer institutions to advocate for Menachem Mendel’s health care, has reported that there has been substantial improvement in the patient’s condition

The family is hoping that later on in the week he will be able to fly home to Israel and continue his health care there. His brother in law Yosef Chaim Yonah Ben Sarah Gittel was wounded in his leg and is still hospitalized.
