Laying of Cornerstone in Zhytomyr, Western Ukraine
Groundbreaking ceremony for the establishment of Kfar Chinuch – Ohr Avner

The new building will house a guest house built on a high standard to accommodate the many visitors passing through the area. Kfar Chinuch Ohr Avner contains a number of Jewish mosdos, including a Jewish orphanage serving all of Western Ukraine, a central Shul and mikvos serving the many Jews in the area.
The village of Zhytomyr is situated on the crossroad between the well known cities of Mezebuzh and Berditchev which attract many Jews who have come to daven at their ancestor’s graves.
The Mara D’asra, Harav Hagoan Rabbi Shlomo Wilhelm, Chabad Shaliach to Zhytomyr spoke of the great zechus they had in receiving a special stone from the wall of the Ohel at the gravesite of the Baal Hatanya to use as a cornerstone of the new structure.
A special choir composed of the children of the local shluchim sand along with the children of the orphanage at the ceremony.
