Gafni announces: “We will never recognize the Reform”
Degel Hatorah’s chairman, Gafni announced at the conclusion on Degel HaTorah’s third convention: “We will never allow any recognition of the Reform movement. But we will reach out to the secular and traditional public.

Gafni clearly spells out Degel Hatorah’s stance on Reform Jewry: “We will never allow any sort of recognition of the Reform movement. They cause so much harm to the Jewish People and our holy Torah, and are bringing about assimilation of catastrophic proportions in the U.S and beyond. They are not here ( in Eretz Yisroel). We will never give them recognition. We will never legitimize their existence.”
“This convention” he continued, “is one of appeasement. Of bringing stray brothers , who don’t keep the Torah and Mitzvos clos. To bring them close through the Chinuch Atzmai and institutions like Shuvu and educational means. We are calling out to this traditional sector, saying- come to us! Educate your children with us. By us they will get love, and everything a Jewish boy and girl deserve. The Reform –we are turning them away. They have nothing to do with the non-religious and the Traditional- and we will distance them forever.”
