Coronation in Brisk: Heir to Harav Meir zt”l Appointed
Hagoan Harav Yitzchak Zev, was chosen to continue his father’ path as head of the Yeshiva

Successor to Harv Meir Solovetichik zt”l appointed- his son Harav Yitzchak Zev Soloveitchik shlita will be the new Rosh Yeshiva.
The talmidim of the Yeshiva along with the family members and the Rebbitzen came to the conclusion this past Thursday morning that Harv Meir’s oldest son, Harav Yitzchak Zev will fill his place as head of the yeshiva.
Beginning this s Chol Hamoed, Harav Yitzchak Zev will receive his talmidim in the home of his father z”tl, and thus continue the decades old minhag of his father. Bchadrey Charedim has learned that come Iyar, Harav Yitzchak Zev will begin giving over his father’s characteristic shiur in Chumash and Rashi during Seudas Shlishis, as his father did for over 50 years.
Haravyitzchak Zev learned in this Eitz Chaim Mosdos as a youth, as did his father Harav Meir. From their he continued on to Yeshivas “Hamitzuyanim” under the tutelage of Hagoan Harav Chaim Aharon Turchin zt”l, talmid of Harav Yitzchak Zev Soloveitchik, as did all the grandson’s of Harav Yotzchak Zev. From there he continued on to the Yeshiva of his illustrious father Harav Meir. He married the granddaughter of Harav Turchin.
Within Brisk it is well known that Harav Yizchak Zev is a tremendous Goan who carries on the Brisker Derech of his father Harav Meir. He is also known as a Gadol in Tefialh and Yiras Shamayim. With his many talents and characteristic sweet manner of speech he will continue the illustrious Brisker Dynasty.
It is noted that Harav Yitzchak Zev has been a Magid Shiur in the Yeshiva for over a decade, and is well known for his wondrous shiurim and for meticulously following the Torah of Brisk.
