Eli Yishai “I hope Deri’s Investigation comes to nothing”.
During a Yachad meeting Eli Yishai wishes his rival Aryeh Deri well.

Deri receives support from Eli Yishai. Wednesday night the Yachad party held a meeting at the Ramada Hotel during which Eli Yishai mentioned Deri’s investigation and wished him well.
“Many have asked me about the latest news and want to know my reaction. Never has and never will there be happiness over the troubles of a fellow Jew. Yes there are ideological gaps between our values as well as a political machlokes but on a personal level we are brothers. Humans. Jews. I hope for his sake and the sake of his family that this whole issues comes to nothing.”
Eli Yishai also referenced his political party Yachad. We had a difficult challenge filled year- but we are not stopping. Yachad was hastily put together just a matter of months before elections while other parties begin 2 years in advance of election. And yet we still had a surprisingly successful outcome. This proves that the idea has caught on and that we must continue.
Regarding the parties debts he said,” Today we can say that most of our debts are
behind us- mostly in the zchus of many of our workers who have willingly forgone
their salaries”.
