Tragedy After Tragedy: Serious Bus Accident Near Chaifa
Serious bus accident in the Carmel Tunnel Road, 1 killed and 51 injured when a bus full of travelers crashed into the tunnel wall. 5 passengers were seriously injured and the rest were either moderately or lightly wounded.

A Serious bus accident took place in the Carmel Tunnel Road at 8:23 when the 101 bus line traveling from the Carmel Coast to Neve Shaanan in Chaifa crashed into the tunnel wall, killing one and injuring 51. 5 passengers were seriously injured and the rest were either moderately or lightly wounded.
MDA paramedic Erez Geller reports: "This was a very bad accident. We saw a crushed bus and next to it a truck. There were seriously wounded people , some trapped inside the bus. We began to triage and treat the more seriously wounded .
A young woman of about 20 was mortally wounded. She was not breathing and had no pulse when we found her. We began resuscitation efforts but were not successful. Six others needed advanced life saving efforts including sedation and mechanical respiration. All other wounded were fully conscious.
