Nazi's Receive Better Treatment

Out of concern for Harav Berland's welfare hundreds of his talmidim gathered together and davened outside of the South African Consulate on Monday of Chol Hamoed. The elderly Rabbi has been denied meals and medications during his imprisonment over Pesach. In the words of his talmidim, "Elderly Nazi's received better treatment."

Hundreds of talmidim of the leader of Shuvu Banim , Harav Eliezer Berlandgathterd on Monday of Pesach to daven and protest outside of the South African Consulate in Ramat Gan. In an interview with Bchadrey Charedim his students cried out over the harsh conditions of his imprisonment.
Aharan Shwartz said, "Who imprisons a man of 80? Even when Nazi's accused of war crimes were arrested they had better conditions."
Natan Ben Ohr told Bchadrey Charedim, "We got a report that the doctor of the court there said that if these conditions persist the Rav may die. We are here to cry out, to be heard by whomever is able to hear us. We feel persecuted. The Rav is imprisoned and has not received food for two days."
Dov Sheinbuam, who represented the Chassidus at the consulate speaks about his meeting, " We presented the matter that the Rabbi is 80 years old and in poor health and he needs food and medicine."
He told the council that the Rav could be held in house arrest. "The Council said that he would write an immediate petition to the foreign ministry in South Africa and they will address it immediately. "
