Levayos of Bal Tzedakah Reb Yechiel Mechel Karfunkel z"l
Hours before the onset of Yom Tov in Eretz Yisrael 74 year old Reb Yechiel Michel Karfunkel z"l was buried on Har Hamenuchos.

The levaya of the well-known philanthropist Reb Yechiel Michel Karfunkel z"l was held in the Chasan Sofer shul in Boro Park on Wednesday. Reb Karfunkel was niftar after collapsing suddenly on Tuesday from a ruptured vein. The niftar was a pillar of the Torah world as he supported many mosods of Torah.
The Ahron was flown to Eretz Yisreal on a private plane on Thursday, arriving just hours before Yom Tov.
The following Rabanim awaited the Ahron : The Admor Rav Dovid Abuchatzeria from Nahariya , Harav Bergman, Harav Hersh, Harv Chaim Tzvi Meizlish of Satmar, Harav Hachosid Rav Shimon Wolf Klein of Belz, Meir Porush, Yisrael Porush, The heads of Mosdos Ger and Don Gertler.
Immediately after landing kadish was said and they set out for Har Hamenuchos.
The following Rabanim were present at the kvura: The Admor of Toldos Aharon, Hagoan Rav Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, Hagoan Rav Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, Hagoan Rav Shalom Ber Sorotzkin among others.
Immediately following the burial Harav Dovid Abuchatzera was flown by helicopter back to Nahariya by helicopter to insure that he would be home in time for the chag.
