Bechadrey Charedim has learned that in the wake of the new edicts against technology in the Gerer Chassidus two shuls were closed this Shabbos.

It has been reported to Bechadrey Charedim that those who daven at the above mentioned shtiblach claim to own protected phones, but the chassidus is not condoning the use of such phones. The official policy that only Delta Mobile is allowed is being strongly reinforced.

One Shtibel in Bnei Brak for mispallilim aged 35 and under was padlocked for Shabbos. The Chassidim dispersed among other shuls in the city. A Shtibel un Ashdod for young Chassdidim was also closed until further notice. This shtible was closed due to the fact that a number of Chassdim there have not complied with the new edicts.

Additionally sanctions have been taken against Chassidim in a third shtibel in Bnei Brak.

At this time the Admor's sons, Harav Nechemia Alter and Harav Yisrael Menachem Alter spent Shabbos in New York as part of a Shabbos Chizuk and unity with hundreds of Gerrer Chassdim. This inspiring Shabbos was planned as part of the campaign to impart the new Takanos among Gerrer Chassdim in America.
