Berlin: Ben Dahan Shown Ancient Sefer Torah
Deputy Security Minister Eli Ben Dahan made an official visit to Berlin last week, upon the request of Netanyahu that he participate in the international OSCE conference on economic and security cooperation.

Deputy Security Minister Eli Ben Dahan made an official visit to Berlin last week, upon the request of Netanyahu that he participate in the international OSCE conference on economic and security cooperation.
During the course of his visit Ben Dahan was given a tour on Berlin's central Chabad House where he met the Rabbi of Berlin's Jewish community Harav Yehuda Teichtel, accompanying Ben Dahan was a representative of the security ministry in Germany Dov Lotem.
During their tour Harav Teichtel told his visitors that members of the Chabad community found a Sefer Torah that had been sitting for 60 years in a basement in Berlin, since the time of the Holocaust.
Harav Teichtel and the staff of the Chabad House rescued the Sefer Torah and invested great sums of money in fixing it. The Sefer Torah was rededicated to the memory of the Holocaust victims and currently is in use in the Chabad's Central Shul in Berlin.
