Tragic: Toddler Forgotten in Car Dies
In an unfortunate accident a one and half year old child was forgotten in a car this morning in Ashdod's charedi neighborhood. The child was no longer living when his father found him.

Just before noon today a father called for emergency assistance after finding his child unconscious in his car. The toddler had been forgotten in the car for some hours. Unfortunately rescue personal were unable to save the babies life.
Ami Igbi, administrator of MDA Lachish said," When we arrived we found an unconscious baby of about 15 months. It was determined that he had succumbed to heat stroke. We were forced to declare his death."
MDA is calling upon the public to be vigilant about not ever leaving children unattended in cars, especially not during the summer months. Private cars and especially vehicles used to transport children must be thoroughly combed for sleeping or forgotten children. Children should not be left for even very short periods of time, even if the air-conditioning is left running.
