During Neatnayhu's speech at the event he addressed the subject of peace with the Palestinians. He said that peace will not be brokered via international conferences. He said," the path to peace passes through direct negotiation with out any predetermined conditions. That's how we achieved peace in the past with the Egyptians and Jordanians and that's how it needs to be with the Palestinians. If the countries that gather this week in Paris really want to advance peace they msut join my call to Abu Mazan to attend such a direct negotiation."
