Israeli police are suggesting today (Thursday) that charges be brought against sheik Ra’ad Salach. ‘police national unit’ completed its investigation into suspicions that Salach was involved in incitement towards violence and support of terror acts, as well as illegal social gatherings for the Islamist movement, which has been banned and declared illegal in Israel.

Salach himself was a very prominent figure in the organization before it was banned, and authorities believe that he is still acting as one of its leaders.

The investigation was launched after comments from Salach started surfacing on various social media outlets about his role in the movement and the ‘Islamic movement’ world view in general.

The comments and posts by Salach were posted after the organization was banned and is therefore illegal to engage in any activity associated with the organization.

Thru-ought the investigation Sheik Salach was questioned, as well as others who are close to him, in connection with the offensive statements.

With the completion of the investigation, police handed over their findings to Haifa Prosecutors department, which guided the investigation, and is expected to render a decision if to press charges against Salach.
