Watch: Dramatic Car Chase In Netanya

A dramatic car chase took place in Netanya this morning, when a middle aged Chareidi man, a Breslov chassid, witnessed his own car being stolen. The man took chase through the city streets of Netanya and managed to stop and apprehend the thief, as he was leaving the city.

The entire episode was caught on camera as it was unfolding.



The footage shows the man phoning the police as he sees the thief enter his car. While the man gives the dispatcher necessary identifying information about his vehicle, the thief pulls out and attempts to get away. The car’s owner can still be seen on the phone with police, describing where he is, but is not ready to lose his car and promptly gives chase through the early morning city streets of Netanya.

After about a two minute chase the man manages to stall the stolen vehicle by ramming into it from the rear.

The thief attempted to flee on foot but was stopped by the owner who brandished a wooden club. Police arrived on the scene and managed to arrest the thief, thanks to the efforts of the car’s owner.
