Israeli Arab Joined ISIS And Planned Attacks Against IDF Soldiers
The GSS and Yamam anti-terror unit arrested Anas Yichyeh from Taibe on suspicion of joining ISIS. The arrested terrorist planned to bomb a bus in Tel Aviv and carry out other attacks against the IDF, including attacks involving the use of chemical weapons

Joined ISIS and planned terror attacks: A gag order has been lifted revealing that the General Security Service together with the police and Yamam anti-terror unit arrested Anas Yichyeh,35, resident of Taibe, on suspicion that he formed ties with, and acted on behalf of the ISIS terror group. The arrest was made three weeks ago, and was only made public today with the lifting of the gag order.
Yichyeh was arrested when information reached the intelligence agencies, indicated he was planning terror attacks in Israeli territory.
During the Shin Bet investigation, Yichyeh revealed that he was in touch with ISIS operatives and was providing them with information on hazardous materials and military know-how on preparing explosives.
Yichyeh swore allegiance to the Islamic state leader Abu Bakar Al-Bagdadi, and even deliberated heading to Syria to fight alongside the terror organization.
After pledging loyalty to ISIS, Yichyeh was asked to plan a terror attack on a bus in Tel Aviv and against IDF soldiers- B”H his plans weren’t carried out.
The investigation revealed that Yichyeh was part of an ISIS social media group, which provided him with a platform to decimate and plan terror activities. He frequently shared information on the making of explosive belts, IED’s, and cellphone triggered bombs.
Aside from the conventional explosives Yichyeh was engaged in, he also provided his group of terror friends with information on binding poisonous gases such as sirene and nerve gas to explosives, which would Chas Veshaolam cause greater casualties.
During the raid on his home, police confiscated educational materials on bomb making and IED’s, as well as the “guide to the fighting jihadi” which was authored by Yichyeh himself.
The prosecution filed charges against him today.
The GSS sees ISIS supporters in Israel as a severe security threat, and therefore uses every means at its disposal to crack down on potential supporters before they get very involved with the terror group.
