A flight from London to Poland carrying frum Yidden on their way to Lizhensk was forced to make an emergency landing in Amsterdam today. The plane experienced abnormal strong air pressure over the skies of Holland, prompting the pilots to make an emergency landing in Amsterdam.
The strong air pressure caused the oxygen masks to automatically be released, and frightened passengers were told to cover their faces with the masks until the emergency was over.
“Bechadrei Chareidim” was told that the pilots deemed it unsafe to continue the flight to Poland and therefore performed an emergency landing in Amsterdam. B’’H the landing was successful and no injuries were reported.
The plane is currently grounded and part of the passengers have cut their trip short and bought return tickets to London.
As is the yearly custom on Chaf Alef Adar, the Yartzeit of R’ Elimelech of Lizhensk, thousands from all over the world fly to Lizhenk to daven at the kever of R’ Elimelech of Lizhensk.
