Two weeks after a successful catheterization, R' Pinchas Kenig from Antwerp travelled with his family for Shvuos to a hotel in the USA. On the first day of Yomtov, he did not get up from his sleep. His levaya was held the next day .

Baruch Dayan Hae'mes: On the first Yomtov of Shvuos, the Nagid, Harav Pinchas (Pinky) Kenig z"l from Antwerp, Belgium, was niftar at the age of 62, while staying at the D Rally hotel with his extended family.
Two weeks ago, after a heart attack, he successfully underwent a catheterization, but on the first Yomtov he did not get up from his sleep, to the sorrow of his family.
His widow, תחי', is the daughter of Harav Hershel Stahl z"l.
His acquaintances tell of a learned man, a Talmid Chochom and a good hearted man, whose only wish was to help others. "He was a diamond dealer and a very rich man, he handed out a lot of Tzedaka, and was a Ba'al Chessed in his own right. He was the father of many families in Antwerp".
He fixed his place of davening in Antwerp at the Beis Midrash of Chassidei Belz, and was very close to the Dzemigrad Rebbe.
The shock in his city is tremendous. One of the residents tells Behadrei Hareidim: "People can't believe when they hear that Pinky Kenig was niftar".
His brothers are the Negidim Harav Yisroel and Itche Kenig from Antwerp, and Harav Chaim from London.
His levaya was held on the second day of Yomtov in the USA, where he was buried.
May his soul be cherished for eternal life.
