The destruction of the monument in memory of the holocaust victims in Yad Vashem on Monday, evokes an international shock and the police has decided to recruit itself for finding the perpetrators.
As was reported in Behadrei Hareidi, on Monday a monument was vandalized in Yad Vashem with graffiti bearing words of abuse. The event caused an international impact and was widely reported in all the central news channels throughout the world.
Many of the reporters who are non-Jewish, expressed wonder at the fact that the desecration of the memory of the kedoshim and the destruction of monuments in their memory, which is normally characterized by anti-Semitic groups in the world, took place in Israel, most probably by Jews.
Behadrei Hareidim found out that the Israeli police has set up a special and extensive investigation team to inquire into the shocking event.
According to the police's suspicion, the perpetrator was a single person or few from a group of radical Hareidim, and they promise to get hold of the group at all costs.
The Israeli police are uncertain as to how the perpetrator managed to infiltrate into the area which is guarded for 24 hours a day. But a senior policeman has expressed himself saying: "It's a matter of time. The loathsome sprayer will be caught".
