Hagray"l about the rally: Bitul Torah
Following the publication that Hagaon R' Chaim Kanievsky supported the "Early morning rally" of the Eda Hareidis – he clarified to those who ask: "Ask Hagray"l Shteinman. And whatever he tells you, do". Harav Shteinman: "Demonstrations have always been the way of the Eda Hareidis, one mustn't be Mevatel Torah to demonstrate".

In the Eda Hareidis, they are in full force preparations for the "Early Morning Rally" against the decree of the conscription of Yeshivos and Kollel Avreichim, which will take place at dawn on Monday in Kikar Hashabbos.

With this letter, two of the important "Kanoim" went up to the home of Hagr"c Kanievsky, who also joined the words of Hagr"s Wazner – a holy call against the conscription – without imagining that the letter would be used to promote the rally, whose declared goal is a cry against the conscription, but behind it are other goals of factors in the Eda Hareidis and the radical margins of the Litvak public.
During the day, a few people came to take advice from Hagr"c Kanievsky, whether to travel to take part in the early morning rally? Hagr"c, who did not know a thing about the exploitation of his letter for the sake of the rally's campaign, answered them most clearly: "Ask R' Aharon Leib (Hagray"l Shteinman) and whatever he tell you – do".
