Harav Yaakov Yosef: Members of Knesset are "cheats and hypocrites"

During his lesson on Wednesday, Harav Yaakov Yosef attacked the members of Knesset regarding the enlistment of Yeshiva students. The Rav said: "These days there is a very strong propaganda against Torah learners, who are the ones who are inciting? The ones who incite are people about whom our sages have said that they are hypocrites, they "do the act of Zimri and want the reward of Pinchas", we hear this incitement every few years."
"Where does it come from?" the Rav wondered and answered: "We have here in Givat Ram a Knesset, and those members of Knesset want to receive more mandates, and they incite against the Bnei Yeshivos, and those people are the very worst hypocrites who exist in this generation. Why do I call them hypocrites? Very simple, they talk of equality for all, that every one is the same, but the law is that members of Knesset are exempt from the army, why do they not go to the army? If they really talk in all honesty, let them answer this".
