Six years after the war in Lebanon, the Lebanese news channel "El Madin" published a first and exclusive documentation of the kidnapping of soldiers Eldad Regev and Udi Goldwasser, which caused the breakout of war on 12th July, 2006.
One can see from the clip how easy it was for the Hezbollah fighters to cross the border fence into Israel.
In the clip, the Hezbollah squad, under the command of Imad Morinaya, is seen crossing the "dead area" close to the border, opening fire towards the IDF Hummers, and during the fire exchanges Goldwasser and Regev's Hummer was hit, and then the attack on it is documented.
In the Hezbollah they say that the kidnapping was planned for 3 months only, and in the organization they knew in advance that as far as Israel was concerned, it was an area which was hard to manage. Now it seems that the Islamic Jihad organization was also involved.
Karnit Goldwasser, kidnapped soldier Ehud Goldwasser's widow, said in an interview to the "Meet the Media" program on Channel 2, in response to the clip: "We once again see the manipulations which Nasralla tries to trick us with, after he snatched our beloved ones, and all in order to get publicity. This is the difference between human beings, and those who claim to be that," Goldwasser asserted.
"From the minute he ki dnapped Udi, he is the one who doesn't see daylight. I hope it carries on that way, and his end will be like Bin Laden's and Morinaya". According to her, "This clip doesn't renew anything. The only thing it can clarify is in which situation they kidnapped them – if they went out on their feet or not. It could be that Nasralla killed them." Regarding the decision of the European Union not to declare the Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, Goldwasser said: "If it's not a terror organization – what is it?"
