Hareidi infant from Jerusalem drowned in pool – harsh condition
The 3 year old infant was drawn from the pool by the lifeguard, underwent resuscitation and was evacuated to Tel Hashomer. He is hospitalized in the children's emergency ward, with his condition defined as very harsh. Circumstances of drowning are not yet known

A three years old infant of a family from Jerusalem, drowned in a swimming pool for infants at the Kfar Ruth village close to Modi'in. The child was rescued by the lifeguard a few minutes later, resuscitation was performed and he was evacuated in a harsh condition to the Tel Hashomer hospital.
The Ichud-Hatzala of Modi'in Illit and MDA paramedics performed successful resuscitation on the infant, after he was drawn out by the lifeguard. He was evacuated with his condition defined as harsh but stable, for continued medical treatment in hospital.
Nachum Gitler, a Ichud Hatzala - Modi'in Illit paramedic who arrived first on the scene, relates: "This is a three year old child who drowned in the infants' pool for an unknown reason, and was drawn out of the water only a few minutes later. During the entire time of treatment, the child's parents were at the place and read Tehillim".
The MDA spokesman, Zachi Heller, informed that at 13:26 MDA of the Ayalon district received a report regarding an infant who was drawn out of the water after drowning in the pool of Kfar Ruth village.
MDA paramedics performed resuscitation, and after his pulse returned, they evacuated the 3 year old to Tel Hashomer in a harsh condition, without consciousness and under artificial respiration.
From details which reached Behadrei Hareidim, it seems that the child played in the infants' pool in Chavat Yitzchak with his parents, when the father suddenly noticed that his child is gone, and after a short search the child was found in the pool and was drawn out without pulse or respiration.
Amir Marom, spokesman of the Tel Hashomer hospital, informed Behadrei Hareidim that the child is hospitalized in the pediatric emergency ward, with his condition defined as very harsh.
