Sandak on Birthday. Hagr"s Wazner enters 100th year
The author of 'Shevet Halevi' celebrated his 99th birthday and entered his 100th year as Sandak at a Bris. Despite his superlative old age, his daily routine continues to be filled to capacity

Hagr"s Wazner, author of 'Shevet Halevi', entered his 100th year yesterday, when he turned 99 years old.
Hagr"s therefore wanted to serve as Sandak on the occasion of his birthday, and indeed someone had the merit to have him as Sandak at the Bris to his son.
Harg"s was born in the city of Vienne, Austria, and was the Talmid of the Mahara"m Shapira of Lublin zt"l.
He came to Eretz Yisrael before the holocaust, and lived in Yerushalayim. Over the years he moved to Bnei Brak, where he fixed his abode in the suburb of Zichron Meir, from where he leads the thousands who go according to his rulings, and stands at the head of the Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva.
Even at his superlative age Hagr"s continues to keep a full day's routine as a young man.
All that is left for us to wish is "Ki Orech Yomaim U'shnos Chaim Yosifu Lach".
