This evening (Tuesday) stoning started in the direction of the entrance to Kever Rochel, which was blocked as a result. Tens of people praying at the time in the building were not allowed to leave it.
The incident started close to 17:20pm, Arab rioters started throwing stones towards those passing in the traffic circle adjacent to Kever Rochel.
More than a hundred people who were at the time in Kever's building – were trapped without an ability to go out. Only more than an hour later, they were freed.
Eliran, a person who came to daven at Kever Rochel together with his family towards an upcoming family Simcha, tells Behadrey Haredim: "We came for a family Simcha, but not everyone managed to enter the building. Part of the family were stuck outside somewhere, and some in the building itself.
"Within the building of Kever Rochel there are about 150 people, women and children, and now no one can come in or out. At 18:00pm we were informed that reinforcements arrived, and started dispersing the stoners.
At 18:30 a woman officer entered the area of the grave, and instructed to open the Mechitzos and enable movement between the different areas to the bathrooms etc, since the place will not be open in the near future."
Eliran ends: "This is a badge of shame for the border guard, for more than an hour they were stoning, and there was no one to stop it?"
Meanwhile, a few minutes after the officer entered it was reported that the area was freed and the rioters were removed from the scene.
