France: 45% increase in anti-Semitic episodes

A 45% increase of anti-Semitic incidents has been reported in France in the year 2012. The report comes this morning (Wednesday) by the Ha'aretz journalist Shirley Sitbon in Paris.

France police authorities dismantled an Islamic terror cell this weekend in an operation conducted in various areas throughout the country during which a 33-year-old Frenchman who converted to Islam was killed, and 12 other members were arrested.
The dismantling of the terror cell re-flooded the anti-Semitism which France's Jews suffer from. According to statistics, there has been a 45% increase of anti-Semetic incidents in France throughout the past year, which increased more so following the attack in Toulouse.

And thus: General Attorney of Paris announced that French police found explosives and weapons during the investigation conducted across the country following the exposure of the Islamist terror cell.

According to the statement, tests held out in a garage owned by one of the suburbs of Paris found chemicals used for making explosives. "We recognize that we are dealing with the most dangerous terrorist network," said District Attorney of Paris, Francois Moulin.
