The deadline for registration of voters for elections which will take place on November 6th, for the U.S. presidential election - will be tomorrow, Friday.
Having the right to vote whoever wants to utilize it, should fill out the forms of the Election Committee, and send them by mail, in order to participate in the general elections to be held in November. Stamp on stamp must be a date no later than October 12th - tomorrow, and the form must reach the Elections Committee no later than the 17th (next Wednesday).
Orthodox vote contractors in New York went out this week and called upon the public to hurry up and sign up on time and take advantage of the right to vote - both for general and presidential elections.
Aaron Lefkowitz, contractor vote veteran in Boro Park, explains to B'Chadrei Charedim: "It is important for us to show the politicians that we have a swing vote, only that way can we can get the benefits and budget for the Yeshivas and other needs of the Orthodox community. Here in America, the public is generally apathetic about voting, the public does not know who the elected officials are, unlike Israel where the public wakes up at election time, and the Orthodox public goes out to vote, here the situation is different. Therefore it is important for us to demonstrate our strength, in particular since a senator or senior officer elected in the general election knows exactly what audience voted for him ".
