Shocking vandalism occurred on the Mount of Olives: Vandals defaced and damaged gravestones at the mount.
Yesterday (Thursday) during the funeral of singer and actor Avraham Abutbul z"l, participants found that many tombstones were desecrated and shattered by vandals.
Apparently Arab rioters are those who committed the act.
One of the participants in the levaya who documented the gravestones told Behadrey Haredim: "When I saw the violation - I was shocked. We would never have believed that there could be a situation where many tombstones were desecrated so offensively and no one reacted.
"Unfortunately, it's all talk. All decisions made regarding the preservation of the Mount of Olives – did not improve the situation on the scene. Graves on the Mount of Olives are in disgrace and danger every day - and I hope someone will wake up already."
