This morning (Sunday), at its weekly meeting, the government unanimously approved the proposal to hold the elections for he 19th Knesset on Tuesday 11th Shevat, January 22nd, 2013.
Tomorrow the Knesset will discuss the law to dissolve the Knesset, after which the government will become a transitional government.
During the government meeting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised that "during the three months of the election period we will continue to take responsible management of the economy, to keep the economy and, above all, to maintain the livelihood of the citizens of Israel and even add to them."
