Satmer Chassidus in preparations: Century Chassunah and first visit to Israel
The Mahry"y Satmer Chassidus is preparing for the Chassuna of the Rebbe's granddaughter, which will take place in Israel. For the first time since he was appointed Rebbe, the Rebbe will visit Israel

For the first time since his appointment, the Rebbe Yekusiel Yehudah of Satmer will arrive for a visit in Israel.
The Satmer Chassidus is preparing towards the big Chassunah of the Rebbe's granddaughter which will take place in Shvat, towards which the Rebbe will arrive, for the first time since his appointment, for a few days' visit to Israel.
Over the last period the Chassidus askanim have been trying to locate a building in which the thousands of expected participants from all over the world will be hosted.
The natural place which was suggested at first stage, but was abandoned, is Jerusalem. The reason: the custom according to which one should not hold Chassunas with an orchestra in the city. The Chassidus was interested in having an orchestra, and therefore the representatives went on to locate a building in Beit Shemesh.
One of the difficulties with which they had to deal was the instruction of the Rebbe according to which they should not take, under any circumstances, a building which is owned by local authorities or the "Zionistic state".
During the searches for a place to host the thousands of Chassidim, the askanim considered renting an area owned by the Vatican. But since the yard had no building, the idea went down. The idea of building a huge tent was also abandoned since the costs would come to a fortune, and it is doubtful whether it would be suitable for the winter weather.
Over the last two weeks, negotiations started regarding a building in the industrial area of Beit Shemesh and close to the Kinor David hall. Today (Tues.) an agreement was signed between the owners of the building, a secular man, and the chassidus.
The building served in the past as a factory and will undergo extensive renovations, in which the ceiling will be raised by a few meters in order to enable bringing in turbines for the participants in the Simcha.
A month before the Chassuna preparations in the hall will start. The chassunah will take place on Wednesday, the 12th of Shvat.
The kallah is the granddaughter of the Rebbe, daughter of his son, Harh"z R' Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum, Rav of Chassidei Satmer in Jerusalem with the chosson, son of the Rebbe Harh"z R' Yishaya Labin from Zeditshov.
Two days beforehand, on Monday, the Rebbe will land in Israel and will take place in a reception in Kikar Hashabbat in Jerusalem. The event will also serve as a protest rally against the elections which will be held that week in Israel.
