"Deri does not count in Eli Yishai" • Body language expert analyzes the Unity Declaration'

Dr. Amir Helmer analyzes the body language of Aryeh Deri, Eli Yishai and Ariel Atias during the press conference • "Deri does not look into the eyes of Yishai, he does not count him in

It was quite a festive press conference.

Three old - new Shas party leaders, sat with their backs to the Aron HaKodesh in the synagogue next to Hgr"a Yosef's home, opposite journalists, cameras and microphones - and the national show began.

Everyone who knew what went on in Hgr"a's home days before the show, bit their lips and hoped with all their heart that the audience will buy the mines they tried to sell there. Speeches about unity, the Rabbi's will, and that from now on journalists will be out of work since the wonderful unity prevails among the party members.

And so, when the new leader Aryeh Deri sits in the center (it's hard to ignore that from now the party is in his hands), the three representatives attempted to sell a false show of "unity"

"Eli Yishai asked Aryeh Deri to manage the campaign headquarters," the Minister Ariel Atias recalled, just as if little children are sitting in front of him waiting for a bedtime story before they sink into their dreams.

Power Triangle

In order not to rely on the assumptions and guesses about the feelings of each of the three, Dr. Amir Helmer, a body language expert presented us with his professional words which leaves no doubt: Aryeh Deri is the new leader. It does not matter what they told Eli Yishai in the room (or to his men).

"Atias who composed between the two, was supposed to sit in the middle, but Deri is sitting there," begins the expert. And it no doubt represents who rules.

"Both Deri and Attias, are sitting slightly tilted forward, Eli Yishai however, is leaning back," he says, and goes on to say that: "Aryeh Deri did not look into the eyes of Yishai, there are hardly any glances." He succeeded during the interview to count three such glimpses, but nothing more. And from the professional analysis of body movements it is clear to him that Deri "does not count Yishai in".
"Atias holds the power traingle, he feels confident. Eli Yishai, however is looking up, a look of contemplation," he continues and analyzes.

At one point Deri thanks Yishai "for carrying the burden all these years," and sees beyond what is said to what is not said. "Now I am here, I'll carry the burden." Eli Yishai in response, scratches his face, "that is, personally offended by the words."

"When Eli talks, Aryeh Deri rearranges the kippa on his head, thinking, contemplating, and then looks to the other side. I'm not counting you in, it broadcasts."

In fact, even without being an expert on body language, it was hard not to see, even with unskilled eyes, what happened there. On Wednesday night, party vertex's came to a conclusion, for different reasons, to dismiss Eli Yishai from party chairman, but they could not persuade him to accept the ruling. Seeing no other choice but to wrap the bitter pill in a delicious candy wrapper, they made a beautiful presentation to the media, But the moment will come when the wrapper is removed, and Yishai will face the real crisis, which he currently preferred to ignore.
