Hgr"a on the union in Shas: "Everyone called me to congratulate me"
During the weekly sermon Hgr"a Yosef addressed the union in Shas: "Sanzer Rebbe said: I said Tehillim for your success, and he is very happy. We have made a Kiddush Hashem"

During the Motzei Shabbos weekly sermon of the President of Council of Sages, Hgr"a Yosef referred to last week's events at the Shas party:
"Gentlemen, this week we sanctified Hashem's name. The trio will not be disconnected. Rabbi Eliyahu Yishai, Rabbi Aryeh Deri, Rabbi Ariel Atias, these three Rabbis, Ben Porat Yosef. Whatever they do, they do with all their might and Baruch Hashem they have glorified Hashem's name, accepted what they were told by our council scholars' at Shas.
They must be blessed for sanctifying Hashem's name in public.
"Everyone, from near and far, Ashkenazim and Sephardim, are calling me. Amongst those who called is the Sanzer Rebbe from Netanya who said: I'm so happy. Believe me I said Tehillim that there should be peace between you. And I'm so glad they accepted everything, like one person, as friends."
"This is only one of them. Many said. Many spoke. We have made a Kiddush Hashem. Joy to all those who fear Hashem, that we all united together.
"Baruch Hashem, our party has shown its strength in the Torah commandment to stand up to the Yeshivos, to stand up for the weak and the poor, doing all they can to increase and glorify the Torah as the Torah tells us. Therefore they deserve all the blessings of the Torah. May Hashem give you a thousand times more."
"May Hashem help us succeed. May Hashem illuminate the world for us. May Hashem grant our party success, to glorify the Torah and merit the public, Amen".
"May you be blessed by Hashem. No one shall be indifferent, but we will work vigorously together for the success of our party.
Our party sanctifies the name of Hashem. Fortunate are all we. Blessed is Hashem who created us in his honor and differentiated us from the gentiles. Amen, May it be His will."
The only one of the trio present at the weekly lecture was Minister of the Interior, Eli Yishai.
