While in Shas in particular and in the political system in general everyone is charging for the election campaign, and sometimes at the cost of neglecting current events, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Eli Yishai continues to take charge of the routine work of his office.

This morning (Sunday), before his entry into the cabinet meeting, Yishai referred to the lack of transfer of funds to technological colleges, for the sum of 40 million shekels, claiming that it is a direct blow to the residents of the periphery.

He added: "The State of Israel and the Ministry of Education should find a budget as soon as possible to continue the normal activity of the technological colleges, which are an essential habitat to the growth engine of the economy, and their immobilization is a shot in its leg."

He said: "Almost all of the colleges are located in the periphery and damage to them is a direct blow not only to the economy but to the residents of the region."
