Deputy Finance Minister Yitzhak Cohen of Shas and CEO Nati Lasri visited Modiin Illit • At center of the visit: Discussion on discrimination against Sephardi girls at seminaries

For months Shas representatives have not visited the city of Modi'in Illit.
It seems that the reunion is that which brought the CEO of Shas, Nati Lasry, the man for whom Bnei torah and avrechim are always his top priority, along with Deputy Finance Minister Yitzhak Cohen, for a tour of the city.
Since taking his office a few months ago, Lasry travels around the country, trying to learn the facts and solve problems.
During the tour, the group visited centers of employment for women. Later on Lasry and Mayor Rabbi Yaakov Guterman, sat down to a meeting with Deputy Mayor Gideon HaCohen, Shas representative in the municipality. Lasry heard of various problems related to Sephardim, and they mainly discussed the discrimination of girls in seminaries.
Later on they came to Derech Hatorah Yeshiva, under the presidency of Hag"r Aharon Leib Steinman, which moved a few months ago to a luxurious new building situated next to the council offices. The Rosh Yeshiva, Hag"r Michael Gross, a trustee of R' Aharon Leib, received them.
Finally they gathered at the municipality offices for a concluding discussion.
