Who served as an 'observer' in the Ukraine elections? Attorney Tzivin

A delegation of more than 40 members returned to Israel from Ukraine, who was invited by the 'Union for the Election Purity' in Ukraine, to serve as observers and inspectors of the Ukrainian parliamentary elections, held on Sunday.

The delegation included members from various departments, including the head of the delegation - MK Faina Kirschenbaum, MK Alex Miller of Yisrael Beiteinu, attorney Mordechai Tzivin - with international connections, some mysterious, Moshe Lipetz - Mayor of Savyon, former MK Shiri Weizman, Zeev Neumann - Deputy Mayor of Akko and others.

The delegation members were dispersed throughout Ukraine, visited the ballots and monitored the election process, in major cities and others.

Business expenses were paid for - by the Ukrainian government.

Other delegations arrived in Ukraine, mostly from the European Parliament and the EU, in order to monitor the purity of elections.

Attorney Mordechai Tzivin, who accompanied MK Faina Kirschenbaum as an observer at the polling center of Kiev, said: "What I saw was a process of quiet, orderly, serious attention and caring of the electorate, perhaps even seriousness, and especially members of the polling station committee. I have not seen any sign that could indicate corruption or irregularities. Western officials, who argue that, are based on stereotypes, biased, and lack of basic knowledge of what is happening at the ballot box. "

Every Jew understands the problem

Zivin adds: "at a number of ballots part of the public recognized MK Kirshenbaum. She was received favorably and at the ballot of the president she won applause by the polling committee members. A Ukrainian Foreign Ministry official, who accompanied her, suggested she apply for the Ukrainian parliament, saying: 'you are a citizen, and very popular in Ukraine.

"The fact that the Nationalist Party was strengthened and significantly increased its strength in parliament causes concern within the Jewish community. Anti Semitism has a long history one that is particularly painful in Ukraine. Its leadership is trying not to increase the phenomenon and put it on the public agenda for fear of opposite and negative reactions.

"But," Tzivin restricts, "There are those who reduce the severity of the phenomenon. They argue it is a party in its niche – that is all against, against Russia and that it is not a concern to the development of the phenomenon of institutional anti-Semitism. One way or another, every Jew in the street understands there is problem here that was not here before. "
