Marseille: Gentile broke into a house and beat a Jewish family
A Handicapped Jew called the police to tow a car from his parking lot • car owners broke into his home, tried to kill him, beat his family and when they were arrested, shouted anti-Semitic curses.

Marseille Jewish community in tumult: Two gentile youngsters broke into a Jewish family home, beat the family members one of whom is disabled, rioted and destroyed whatever was at hand, and tried to kill the father who tried to protect his family.
Two local youths parked their car in the driveway of a disabled Jewish family home. The family called the police who towed the car away. When vehicle owners discovered what was going on, they broke along with others into the disabled home, beat several members of the family, and tried to kill the father.
Neighbors heard the cries, called the police, who arrived with reinforcements and arrested the two young men, who muttered anti-Semitism curses against the home owner and promised "to return to finish off the job."
Marseille is the second largest in France in terms of Jewish concentration and 80 thousand Jews live there. Many Torah institutions exist in the city.
Shalom Simon, a local resident, said that anti-Semitic incidents have always cast a shadow on the Jewish residents. Local residents still remember the shocking incident that occurred several years ago, in which a young Jew was attacked in Marseille by anti-Semites who carved a swastika on his body.
