Vizhnitzer Rebbe: I tried to reassemble the 'Moetzet' but I failed

The Vizhnitzer Rebbe called out yesterday with a moving appeal, to unite at 'Yahadut Hatorah'.
The Rebbe said his words to Agudath Ysrael movement leaders in America, who visited his lodge in Borough Park, Brooklyn, where the Rebbe is currently staying on the occasion of making appeals for institutions. The Rebbe was interested in their various activities for U.S. Jewry and strengthened their hand in the struggle for the commandment of circumcision properly.
Among other things, the Rebbe spoke with pain about the divisions in Yahadut Hatorah in Israel, causing damage to the party and its purpose, and said: "Agudah" (- this is how the Rebbe refers to Yahadut Hatorah) "is not like all parties. 'Agudah' was founded by the distressed people in the land - and its sole purpose is to honor Hashem's name!"
"We in Israel, have what to envy in the movement of Agudath Yisrael of America, which operates out of the mission 'and we will all unite' by unifying our hearts. My holy father (the Yeshuat Moshe zy"a) and my holy grandfather (the Imrei Chaim zy"a) and all the righteous people of those generations, laid down their lives for the society. I wish we could copy the success of Agudath Yisrael of America which is under unity - to Israel's holy land, and strengthen our power in the next election."
The Rebbe also referred to 'Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah' of Agudath Yisrael, and said: "Following the establishment of the 'Agudah' the 'Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah' was established to solve all questions on the agenda and placed on the doorstep of Agudath Yisrael out of unanimity. A few years ago I tried to reconvene the Moetzet Gedolei Hatorah, whose mere convening will unite the Orthodox and those who go according to Daas Torah, but unfortunately I failed. Now is the time to gather and unite – and join forces. "
