This morning (Thursday), there was an improvement in the condition of the seriously injured woman in Tiveria.
This week on Sunday a serious road accident occurred n Tiveria, a woman of about 50 was capsized with her car and was badly injured. She was taken to the Poriah hospital in Tiveria.
This morning, there was a significant improvement in her condition, since the accident she was unconscious, and this morning she started to respond to those around her.
Gilad Chanun, a Tiveria Hatzalah medic who arrived first at the road accident scene, said that he was very close to the scene of the accident that occurred at the entrance to Tiveria Illit. "When I arrived I saw an upside down car, and no other vehicles involved. This is a road that you cannot drive that fast, and I expected that this was a self-accident due to a medical condition that caused the driver to lose control.
"I pulled the driver out of the car, she was unconscious without a pulse and not breathing and I began CPR procedures as more volunteers joined me. She received an electric shock from a defibrillator that I had, and returned her pulse only. We resumed the CPR procedures, but she lost her pulse. With the second electric shock she received, her pulse and breathing returned, thank G-d, and I joined the intensive care unit of MDA which took her to the hospital trauma unit in the Poriah hospital in the city."
"At the hospital I first heard the name of the wounded, and it took me about 4 years back. A terrible traffic accident occurred so at the Zorim crossroads, a young girl standing at a hitchhiking station was hit by a car and killed. I helped the family, and stayed in contact with them for a while. This week when I heard the name of the wounded, I realized it was the mother of the young girl who was killed."
"At the hospital I met the wounded woman's husband, he immediately recognized me and said" You are angels ", and did not stop thanking me for the medical help and support."
Hospital staff performed a head CT scan, and the test was normal. She was then moved to the cardiology department, where she had a heart bypass that same night and it was successful.
Since then the injured woman was hospitalized in a coma with fear of brain damage. This morning, she woke up and began to recognize the people around her and talk.
"In the afternoon I plan to visit her in the hospital and see the miracle myself," the medic said.
