Chabad Library has unveiled a document: Steipler zt"l bought a letter

Chabad Library annually presents at its World Shluchim conference, held in Crown Heights, an exhibition of the treasures of the library which are considered the largest Jewish private library in the world.
Chabad Shturem website reports that among the many treasures exposed from today to shluchim from all over the world, the project exhibits items concerning the project which was started by the Rebbe Hryy"z zy"a in the year תש"ב and finished by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in תש"ל – Mashiach's Sefer Torah.
In the project, every Jew in the world is invited to purchase a letter in the special Sefer Torah. In the interesting and classified list, served in the Rebbe's authentic handwriting, is the name of the Steipler, Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky zt"l. Listed are all the details, name of his father and mother, at the end of the line indicates the amount of the donation, then came the title of "most important people of Bnei Brak."
The Steipler was born to a family of descendants of Chernobyl chassidim. He was named after Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael from Cherkas, the son of Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl, and son in law of the middle Rebbe of Lubavitch.
His son is Hagaon Reb Chaim Kanievsky.
