The Vizhnitz Rebbe confiscated an iPhone device with his own hands, at the end of a major event of the Chassidus. The incident took place when the Rebbe attended last night (Sunday) a central dinner for the 'Union Vizhnitz Institutions', in Borough Park, Brooklyn.
At the dinner, held at 'Ateret Golda', two thousand people were in attendance.
At the end of the dinar an iPhone device was found, and one of those present announced the loss over the loudspeaker. "Whoever lost his iphone should come and pick it up from the band," he declared.
The latter did not notice the Rebbe is still present on his way to the door. The Rebbe, who heard the announcement, stopped and demanded the device, in order to confiscate it.
Participants at the dinner were amazed and the man who lost the device vanished, as the Rebbe forbade possessing the device.
In addition, the Chassidus is preparing for the wedding of the Rebbe's grandson, son of his son in law Hrha"z Rabbi Baruch Shimshon Hagar, Rav Chassidei Vizhnitz – Monsey in Israel, and son of the Vizhnitz - Monsey Rebbe.
The wedding will take place on Thursday this week. On Wednesday the Simchas Chassan will take place at the hall of Beit Midrash of Vizhnitz - Monsey, attended by thousands of devotees.
