Rocket barrages charges victims: This morning (Thursday), a building in Kiryat Malachi was hit directly. Three were killed, another two were moderately injured. Four more were slightly injured and six suffered from shock.

Due to rocket fire the first floor of a 4-storey building in Kiryat Chabad was damaged. Three people were killed, two women and a man in his thirties. Another four were slightly injured including a baby.

Manny Azriel, a Hatzalah medic, said: "This was a very difficult scene to witness, we performed resuscitation on a woman who was critically injured by the rocket which directly hit the building and in middle of the resuscitation other medics identified trapped and injured people in the adjacent apartment in the same building."

Starting at 6:00 a barrage of rockets began to hit Be'er Sheva, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gan Yavne and Ofakim. Some of the rockets were intercepted by the "Iron Dome".
During the night, Palestinians reported dozens of air and navy strikes and, in most cases without casualties.

In an assault by the IDF in the morning, around 6:00, in the Sg'aih neighborhood in the eastern Gaza City, a rescue services spokesman in Gaza said that five people were injured, including a pregnant woman and 2 children.

A few moments later an aircraft fired at a motorcycle in Khan Yunis, and three were killed. Apparently it was a group of terrorists who were about to fire rockets.

An Air Force aircraft fired during the day and night at dozens of underwater launch systems for medium range (up to 40 km) which was severely damaged. Moreover, warehouses which housed weapons were attacked.

Over 100 rockets

Since the beginning of the 'Pillar of Defense' operation, Hamas fired more than a hundred rockets; the Iron Dome system recorded nearly 40 cases of interception.

Rocket barrages began yesterday a few minutes before 20:00 when air raid sirens in Ashkelon and the surroundings were heard, after missiles were fired at the area. Two falls were recorded in open areas near settlements in Eshkol Regional Council.

15 Grad rockets were fired at Beer Sheva and Ofakim. Most of the missiles were intercepted by Iron Dome batteries. One rocket hit a shopping center which was almost empty in Beer Sheva.

Hatzalah paramedics provided primary health care to a woman who was slightly injured from broken glass, and a number of slight anxiety casualties. Another was slightly injured in Beer Sheva from falling down the stairs.

Yitzchak Dresner, a Hatzalah medic who treated the victims, said: "With Hashem's help the rocket fell in a garden between two buildings near a store. The wall of the building absorbed the blast. We provided medical care for a woman who was hit by broken glass of the shop window, which exploded due to the blast of the rocket. Near the same place another rocket hit a private car. Miraculously there were no casualties. A number of people were treated for shock trauma."

Two Grad rockets hit Ashdod. One missile was intercepted by the Iron Dome system. Two missiles hit a house in the yard, not far from the Home Front Defense Minister, Avi Dichter, who visited the site. There were no casualties.

Later in the evening dozens of Grad missiles were fired throughout the southern region.

The cabinet approved the army to call up reserves and authorized the trio forum - Netanyahu, Barak and Lieberman - to decide on the continuation of the 'Pillar of Defense' military operation.

Pillar of defense and fire: Huge prospect reports. Special

A barrage of rockets was fired for the first time at Dimona. Rockets fell in open areas far from the city. Rabbi Avner Musai, director of the Chinuch Atzmai School and representative of Yahadut Hatorah in Dimona, told B'Chadrei Charedim: "A grad fell in an open area near Dimona. We have not received instructions to cancel school tomorrow in the city. Streets are empty, but Torah classes were conducted in the evening as usual".

So far a total of 10 terrorists were killed and over 30 injured. During the operation the IDF hit Fajar launch missiles infrastructure - that can reach Tel Aviv. According to reports, the IDF began giving no. 8 commands and are preparing for a ground operation into the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi decided to return the Egyptian ambassador from Israel to Cairo, in response to the 'Pillar of defense' military operation - Egyptian television reported. It is still unclear if the return is for consultations or longer term.

Southern strain: The Abuhatssira household in Beer Sheva is celebrating an engagement
and how do the other residents of the south respond? Most welcome the Shin Bet and the IDF on the assassination, but fear.

"We were delighted to hear about the assassinations," admits Yuney Shitrit, a resident of Ashkelon in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim. "However we are still forced to live in terrible fear. We fear attacks at the southern cities."

Ashdod activist Moshe Greenbaum told B'Chadrei Charedim about the traits in the city streets. "Five minutes after the assassination an official announcement was made, all schools, even the ultra-Orthodox, and all the children returned to their homes."

"Ramla - Lod Market folded up due to the police commands and the tense atmosphere is felt on the street, although people are still walking around outside."

"There is a sense of uncertainty, but we are more relaxed when our children at home than at school. I believe that if there is an escalation some of the residents will want to leave the city, but it is not clear where to escape, because the central cities are also on threat."

In the shadow of tension, the engagement at the Abuhatssira household in Be'er Sheva was celebrated this evening, after the Lechaim was held yesterday for Tzippora, the youngest daughter of the Baba Elazar zt"l with the Chassan Yosef Chaim Peretz from Ponovicz yeshiva in Bnei Brak.

However, unlike this event, many family events that should have taken place this evening in the south of the country - were canceled. Yeshivas and families, who hired guest houses in the south for Shabbos, are looking for alternative places.
