Thousands participated on Thursday in Gaza in the funeral of Hamas chief of staff, Ahmed Jabari, who was assassinated yesterday in the bombing of the Air Force – the bombing which set off Operation "Amud Anan" (pillar of cloud).

The funeral procession left the Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and reached Jabari's home in the city. Jabari was buried in the cemetery in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City, where Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin and senior of the organization Abed el-Aziz Rantisi, are buried too.

Military wing activists who participated in the funeral said words of incitement and calls for revenge against Israel.

Military wing leaders were absent from the funeral for fear of being liquidated.

By the expectation of military officials, the words of incitement during the funeral procession and the excited crowd, may increase the motivation to launch rockets at Israel, shortly after the funeral.
